Party wall cavity insulation for Cleethorpes properties
We cover Cleethorpes and the DN35 postcode district, including nearby Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Lincoln. It is around 31 miles north-east of Lincoln.
Cleethorpes properties with rendered or painted walls get a closer look at the outer finish, because cracked render can let rain behind it. A suitable wall in Cleethorpes is usually filled in a single day from outside, with drill holes made good to match the pointing.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Lincolnshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, in Cleethorpes filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

What we need from you and your neighbour
The cavity is shared, so we talk you through notifying your neighbour before work. Filling is done from your side, usually through the loft. The survey confirms the wall is a cavity wall and not solid masonry, and checks for cables, flues and any gaps that would let fill escape.
What is included in Cleethorpes
- Neighbour notification guidance
- Written result and photos
- Sealing at the top of the cavity
- Certified fill to the separating wall
