Party wall cavity insulation for Maidstone properties
Maidstone is among the towns we cover in Kent, alongside Chatham, Rochester and Gillingham. Maidstone is one of the main towns we cover in Kent.
Maidstone properties with rendered or painted walls get a closer look at the outer finish, because cracked render can let rain behind it. A suitable wall in Maidstone is usually filled in a single day from outside, with drill holes made good to match the pointing.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Much of Kent sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, in Maidstone filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why a party wall loses heat
Many semi-detached and terraced homes built with cavity separating walls have that cavity open to the loft. Air moves up the cavity and out at the top, a loss sometimes called the party wall bypass. Filling the cavity and sealing the top stops it.
