Party wall cavity insulation for Archway properties
Archway sits in Greater London, around 4 miles north of London. We work across the N19 district, including nearby Holloway, Muswell Hill and Chalk Farm.
For semi-detached and terraced homes in Archway, cavity barriers are fitted where your wall meets your neighbour's so the fill stays on your side. Where an Archway property has an extension or a conservatory, we check how the old and new walls meet, because that junction is often missed.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Much of Greater London sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, in Archway filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Why a party wall loses heat
Many semi-detached and terraced homes built with cavity separating walls have that cavity open to the loft. Air moves up the cavity and out at the top, a loss sometimes called the party wall bypass. Filling the cavity and sealing the top stops it.
What is included in Archway

- Loft inspection and borescope check
- Sealing at the top of the cavity
