Party wall cavity insulation for Newquay properties
If your property is in Newquay or the TR7 district or nearby Truro, St Austell and Redruth, it is within our Cornwall coverage. It is around 11 miles north of Truro.
For semi-detached and terraced homes in Newquay, cavity barriers are fitted where your wall meets your neighbour's so the fill stays on your side. Newquay properties with rendered or painted walls get a closer look at the outer finish, because cracked render can let rain behind it.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Parts of Cornwall face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
On the rules side, in Newquay filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

What we need from you and your neighbour
The cavity is shared, so we talk you through notifying your neighbour before work. Filling is done from your side, usually through the loft. The survey confirms the wall is a cavity wall and not solid masonry, and checks for cables, flues and any gaps that would let fill escape.
What is included in Newquay
- Certified fill to the separating wall
- Neighbour notification guidance
- Sealing at the top of the cavity
- Loft inspection and borescope check
