Blown mineral wool insulation for Felixstowe properties
Felixstowe sits in Suffolk, around 11 miles south-east of Ipswich. We work across the IP11 district, including nearby Ipswich and Stowmarket.
Most Felixstowe houses built from the 1920s onwards have cavity walls, but the survey still checks each one: cavity width, debris, the condition of the brickwork and how exposed each wall is. A suitable wall in Felixstowe is usually filled in a single day from outside, with drill holes made good to match the pointing.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Suffolk sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, in Felixstowe filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England

When is it not the right choice?
Very narrow or uneven cavities, walls with lots of mortar snots and debris, and some very exposed elevations can be better suited to bonded bead, which flows around obstructions and is certified for a wider range of exposure zones in some systems. The survey says which and why.
