Blown mineral wool insulation for Fleet properties
Fleet sits in Hampshire, about 36 miles north-east of Southampton. We work across the GU51 district, including nearby Farnborough, Aldershot and Yateley.
If a wall in Fleet is not suitable, for example because of an undiagnosed damp patch or a very exposed gable, you are told so in writing with the reason. Most Fleet houses built from the 1920s onwards have cavity walls, but the survey still checks each one: cavity width, debris, the condition of the brickwork and how exposed each wall is.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Hampshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
As for paperwork, in Fleet filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why choose mineral wool?
Mineral wool fibres are treated to shed water, so moisture that gets into the outer leaf runs down the cavity rather than tracking across. It is classed as non-combustible, which matters for some flats and taller buildings, and it is usually the lower-cost certified option.
What is included in Fleet
- Making good to the mortar colour
- Density and drill pattern recorded
- Cavity barriers where needed
- Certified mineral fibre system
