Existing insulation and guarantee check for Coalville properties
Coalville is among the towns we cover in Leicestershire, alongside Loughborough, Leicester and Hinckley. It is roughly 12 miles north-west of Leicester.
Every inspection point in Coalville is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor. A survey in Coalville gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Much of Leicestershire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Coalville, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
