Existing insulation and guarantee check for Thornton-Cleveleys properties
If your property is in Thornton-Cleveleys or the FY5 district or nearby Fleetwood, Blackpool and Lytham St Annes, it is within our Lancashire coverage. It is roughly 15 miles north-west of Preston.
A survey in Thornton-Cleveleys gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound. Every inspection point in Thornton-Cleveleys is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Parts of Lancashire face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Thornton-Cleveleys, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
