Existing insulation and guarantee check for Chatham properties
Our Kent coverage takes in Chatham (ME4) and nearby Gillingham, Rochester and Strood. It is around 8 miles north of Maidstone.
Where a Chatham wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random. Every inspection point in Chatham is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Kent sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Chatham, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
