Existing insulation and guarantee check for Warrington properties
If your property is in Warrington or the WA1 district or nearby Widnes, Runcorn and Northwich, it is within our Cheshire coverage. It is around 19 miles north-east of Chester.
Where a Warrington wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random. Buyers and sellers in Warrington often book this check when a survey report or EPC raises questions about the walls.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Cheshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Warrington, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
