Draught-proofing for Penrith properties
Penrith is among the towns we cover in Cumbria, alongside Carlisle and Kendal. It is about 17 miles south of Carlisle.
Small measures like this are often among the cheapest per pound saved, and they suit Penrith homes of every age. Where a Penrith home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Penrith, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Ventilation still matters
Trickle vents, air bricks and extractor fans are there for a reason. We seal accidental gaps, not the ventilation your home needs to keep condensation down.
