Draught-proofing for Carrickfergus properties
Carrickfergus is among the towns we cover in County Antrim, alongside Newtownabbey, Larne and Belfast. It is around 9 miles north-east of Belfast.
Small measures like this are often among the cheapest per pound saved, and they suit Carrickfergus homes of every age. We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in Carrickfergus homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Carrickfergus, inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts.
Funding in Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland, the Affordable Warmth Scheme helps eligible households with a gross income under £23,000.

Ventilation still matters
Trickle vents, air bricks and extractor fans are there for a reason. We seal accidental gaps, not the ventilation your home needs to keep condensation down.
