Damp investigation after cavity insulation for Dukinfield properties
Our Greater Manchester coverage takes in Dukinfield (SK16) and nearby Ashton-under-Lyne, Stalybridge and Hyde. It is roughly 6 miles east of Manchester.
Damp in an insulated Dukinfield home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. We never cold-call in Dukinfield or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Greater Manchester has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Dukinfield, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
