Damp investigation after cavity insulation for Rhosllannerchrugog properties
Rhosllannerchrugog is among the towns we cover in Clwyd, alongside Wrexham, Buckley and Hawarden. It is about 4 miles south-west of Wrexham.
Damp in an insulated Rhosllannerchrugog home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. If your Rhosllannerchrugog installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Parts of Clwyd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Rhosllannerchrugog, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.
