Cavity wall insulation for Stamford properties
If your property is in Stamford or the PE9 district or nearby Spalding and Grantham, it is within our Lincolnshire coverage. It is around 40 miles south of Lincoln.
Most Stamford houses built from the 1920s onwards have cavity walls, but the survey still checks each one: cavity width, debris, the condition of the brickwork and how exposed each wall is. A suitable wall in Stamford is usually filled in a single day from outside, with drill holes made good to match the pointing.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Much of Lincolnshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, in Stamford filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Is my wall suitable for cavity wall insulation?
Most homes built from the 1920s onwards have cavity walls, but having a cavity is not the same as being suitable. The Energy Saving Trust's rule of thumb is a cavity of at least 50mm, clear of rubble, behind masonry in good condition, on a wall that is not exposed to severe driving rain or flood risk.
