Cavity wall insulation removal for Wednesfield properties
Our West Midlands coverage takes in Wednesfield (WV11) and nearby Willenhall, Wolverhampton and Wednesbury. It is about 11 miles north-west of Birmingham.
Where a Wednesfield wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up. Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Wednesfield properties, so you can choose who fixes them.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. The West Midlands has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Wednesfield, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

If you have a guarantee
Contact your original installer first. If that does not resolve it within two months, CIGA's process applies for CIGA-guaranteed installs. Removing insulation yourself can void a guarantee, so speak to the provider before work.
