Cavity wall insulation removal for Formby properties
Our Merseyside coverage takes in Formby (L37) and nearby Maghull, Southport and Bootle. It is about 11 miles north of Liverpool.
Damp in an insulated Formby home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. We never cold-call in Formby or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Merseyside has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Formby, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England

If you have a guarantee
Contact your original installer first. If that does not resolve it within two months, CIGA's process applies for CIGA-guaranteed installs. Removing insulation yourself can void a guarantee, so speak to the provider before work.
