Cavity wall insulation removal for Cleethorpes properties
We cover Cleethorpes and the DN35 postcode district, including nearby Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Lincoln. It is about 31 miles north-east of Lincoln.
We never cold-call in Cleethorpes or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Damp in an insulated Cleethorpes home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Much of Lincolnshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Cleethorpes, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England
Filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification if insulation work follows.

If you have a guarantee
Contact your original installer first. If that does not resolve it within two months, CIGA's process applies for CIGA-guaranteed installs. Removing insulation yourself can void a guarantee, so speak to the provider before work.
