Cavity wall insulation removal for Walthamstow properties
Walthamstow is among the towns we cover in Greater London, alongside Leytonstone, Tottenham and Woodford Green. It is around 7 miles north-east of London.
Damp in an insulated Walthamstow home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. If your Walthamstow installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Greater London sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Walthamstow, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England
Filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification if insulation work follows.

If you have a guarantee
Contact your original installer first. If that does not resolve it within two months, CIGA's process applies for CIGA-guaranteed installs. Removing insulation yourself can void a guarantee, so speak to the provider before work.
