Borescope cavity inspection for Winchester properties
Winchester sits in Hampshire, about 12 miles north of Southampton. We work across the SO23 district, including nearby Eastleigh, Southampton and Totton.
The written result for your Winchester property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. A survey in Winchester gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Hampshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Winchester, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

When a borescope check helps
Before filling, to confirm the cavity is empty and clean. Before buying a house, to see if the EPC's claim of 'filled cavity' is true. When damp has appeared and you need to know whether the fill is wet or bridged. Before a top-up, to map which panels are empty.
